Poggio alla Luna is an 18th century spacious farm house, situated just outside the medieval town of Bevagna, overlooking the Spoleto valley. The splendid restoration of this country property was recently
completed.
The magic
of the surrounding country side, the big swimming pool and lovely
Mediterranean garden offer you an instant transformation to a relaxed
holiday mood.
From the courtyard, the "aia", looking over the valley the Umbrian hill towns of Spello, Assisi and Trevi appear in spectacular, panoramic view and Montefalco peeks out to the distant right.
The town of Bevagna with its authentic medieval appearance is easily reached by bicycle or on foot.
Day trips to the nearby cities of Perugia, Orvieto, Spoleto and Gubbio
are also easy to take and very worthwhile. To visit these cities and
see their great art history or to sample traditional Umbrian cooking
(especially during truffle and mushroom season) is an absolute must.
The region's excellent vineyards, like the ones in Montefalco, Torgiano and Orvieto, cannot be missed by wine lovers!
Should you prefer at times to stay home at Poggio alla Luna,
an aperitivo of Sagrantino di Montefalco matched with a truffle
bruschetta and good company will also make for an unfortgettable
evening!

Poggio alla Luna's expansive restoration has created 4
tastefully designed country house apartments with maximum comfort, yet
retaining many of the original features. The beautiful Mediterranean
garden was designed and projected by landscape designers Luca Bazzoffia
and Sandro Corsi.
The
country house apartments are for year round vacationing, they have very
good insulation and ecological, thermal fireplaces, providing warm and
cosy comfort also during the Winter months. They are beautifully
furnished with many authentic antiques; all have separate entrances and
private outdoor eating areas.
